How to Get There
Istanbul is a metropolitan city with two airports. Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport is located on the Asian side, while Istanbul Airport is situated on the European side.
From Istanbul Airport
Via Taxi;
At Istanbul Airport, taxi services are available 24/7. The taxis operate in three different categories: black “E,” turquoise “D,” and orange “C.”
Passengers who wish to use the taxi service can find the main taxi stands at the Plaza Area, inside and outside the international and domestic terminal exits, as well as the taxis located on the departure level (2nd floor).
Taxis affiliated with the Istanbul Airport Taxi Cooperative are charged according to the fare schedule set by UKOME (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Public Transportation Coordination Center).
To respond to requests for vehicles with larger luggage space, higher passenger capacity (8+1), greater seat spacing/knee room, and similar features, as well as to promote zero-emission vehicles, UKOME has established different fare rates for high-end taxis operating in turquoise and black. According to UKOME’s published rates, turquoise taxi fares are 15% higher than orange taxi fares, and black luxury taxi fares are 70% higher than orange taxi fares.
